Jensen (my son) and I went out for a long morning walk beside the railway tracks. On our way home we picked up some breakfast to take home. To start with, we had dal puri. (dal is a spicy lentil mixture pictured above in the old, sweetened condenses milk tin and puri is the little, round, fried bread thingy leaning up against the tin) As a sweet finisher-upper, we had narikel pita. (This is a pastry made out of coconut, rice flour, and date-palm syrup: pictured below on someone's recycled homework.)
