This mosque pic is interesting. I know that you are supposed to divide the composition into thirds but I thought it worked. What do you think? This is on our roof facing the west.
This shot was taken when Riley needed a bit of time out for playing monkey on the roof of a 6 storied building after being told it was dangerous. I love the stairs and the contrasting wall color around the corner. I took the saturation down to emphasize the light rather than the color. Comments?
Having worked on a construction crew for a summer, I am always fascinated by construction in Bangladesh. These bamboo props are holding up the floor of the next story. I just designed some batik pillow covers inspired by this structure. I will post a pic of them in the future.
Our sons have made the transition from home-school to convention school with grace. Grace International School is great. Pruitt's teacher has this class monkey whose name is Marti, pronounced "Mati" because she is British. Of course "mati" is also the word for "clay" in Bangla and he/she is clay colored. Anyway, each day one of the students gets the privilege of taking Marti home with them. Pruitt's turn just happened to be over the weekend. He was elated and showed him off to everyone. It was quite hilarious. Marti also has a diary where Pruitt had to write what he did and put a picture in it. I had fun with the photo shoot!
