Reminded by of a picture from the book, "They Shall Know Our Velocity".

This guy begged for me to take his picture.

Water Boys

My sons . . . I am speechless.

Nodir Paray (At the River's Edge)

Fishnets strung out on bamboo spikes at the river's edge

Fish traps . . . a functional beauty all their own . . . especially in multiples . . . out of the water

giving center stage to a fun, little, "taken for granted" plant at the river's edge.

grass glorious grass. in Bangla it is "ghash". The word sounds as the thing itself sounds in the wind. It sounds like it feels between your toes. It sounds like it smells unless their are too many cows around. It goes much deeper than onomatopoeia . . . believe me.

The Younger Two

This is my "mejho" (middle) son Pruitt. A little man after my own heart. He has his hands in clay. After trekking down to the river the boys had a blast splashing around and collecting mud. This is the first time they have been able to swim since they've arrived. They were in little boy heaven.

This is Riley in one of his rare quiet moments.

The Front Part of the Boat

I am not a good sailor or pirate. Arghh! Matey! This photo has some issues but I can't quite grasp what they are. I love the textures. The triangular composition grounds the picture. I think the rope is the problem. It looks posed. What is the little white circle? I guess I can use this photo as source material for a watercolor. Ha!
